Even taken out of the context of the early 70’s, All in the Family is astounding. If you accept that the discussion of race in America has matured, you have to appreciate how ground-breaking this show was. I don’t think there’s been anything like it since and to this day, I feel that to watch it is to witness a tipping point in our history. Bravest show ever. 

Bravest show ever is right, so easy to forget how important this show is.
